Keyboard Studio Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of Keyboard Studio for iPhone and iPad. They are provided by the developer of Keyboard Studio. This page is not legal advice.
Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using Keyboard Studio, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use Keyboard Studio.
Free App Store download
Keyboard Studio is available as a free App Store download for iPhone and iPad. Eligible users may receive a three-day Pro trial. When the trial ends, the App returns to the Free experience unless Lifetime Pro has been purchased.
Lifetime Pro and no subscriptions
Keyboard Studio offers Lifetime Pro as a one-time In-App Purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. There is no subscription. Free and Pro feature availability may differ, and eligible purchases can be restored using Apple’s purchase system.
Permitted use
You may use Keyboard Studio for personal or lawful purposes on devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms, Apple’s App Store terms, and applicable law. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the software except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
User-created content
You are responsible for Quick Phrases, Personal Dictionary entries, custom themes, user-selected Photo Backgrounds, and other content you create or select in Keyboard Studio. Do not store or select content that you are not permitted to keep or use on your device.
Local data responsibility
Keyboard Studio stores settings, phrases, dictionary entries, processed Photo Backgrounds, and related preferences locally on your device. When Full Access is enabled, supported data may be shared locally between the App and Keyboard Extension through an App Group container. This is not a cloud backup service. You are responsible for managing content you create or select.
No guarantee against data loss
The developer of Keyboard Studio does not guarantee that local data will never be lost. Device failure, operating-system behavior, App deletion, backups, restores, and user actions can affect locally stored data. Keyboard Studio does not promise cloud recovery of deleted local data. Maintain your own backups where important and permitted by the relevant feature.
Software updates
The developer may provide updates that change features, fix issues, or improve compatibility. Updates are delivered through the App Store when available. Continued use after an update is subject to these Terms and any updated terms published on this website.
Third-party and open-source notices
Keyboard Studio may include third-party or open-source components. Notices and licenses for those components are provided as required, including within the App where applicable.
ESDB attribution reference
Keyboard Studio uses the English Speller Database (ESDB), formerly SCOWL, as a bundled offline lexicon. Keyboard Studio does not claim ownership of ESDB. Concise attribution is provided here; full license and attribution are available offline inside the Keyboard Studio App.
Apple standard EULA relationship
To the extent Keyboard Studio is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (or the Apple standard EULA then in effect) may also apply. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Apple’s required terms for App Store distribution, Apple’s required terms control for that conflict to the extent required by Apple.
Disclaimer
Keyboard Studio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. The developer of Keyboard Studio does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Keyboard Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of Keyboard Studio. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
Termination
Your right to use Keyboard Studio ends if you violate these Terms or if you delete the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including disclaimers and limitations of liability, will survive.
Changes
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The Last Updated date at the top of this page will change when updates are published. You should review the Terms periodically.
